Il primo novembre uscirà in tutto il mondo Surrender, l’autobiografia di Bono Vox. Il libro è un progetto della Alfred A. Knopf, in Italia i diritti sono stati acquistati da Mondadori. Su Amazon si può già ordinare la versione originale, non è ancora disponibile la traduzione in italiano.
Surrender è diviso in quaranta capitoli, ognuno intitolato come una canzone degli U2 (il sottotitolo è Quaranta canzoni, una storia). L’edizione Knopf conta 576 pagine, un bel mattone arricchito da quaranta disegni dell’autore.

Su YouTube gli U2 hanno pubblicato un video animato in cui Bono legge in anteprima il capitolo Out of Control: l’autore ricorda il giorno in cui ha scritto il primo singolo della band, era il suo diciottesimo compleanno. Surrender entrerà a pieno titolo nel club delle grandi autobiografie rock come Life di Keith Richards, Chronicles di Bob Dylan e Born to Run di Bruce Springsteen.
